Day 1 Arrive Queenstown

Today your journey takes you to Queenstown, the ultimate luxury elopement destination on New Zealand’s South Island. Saying ‘I-Do’ atop a rugged and remote mountain range is the most serene experience in the world! And you will have the photos to prove it!

Arrive in Queenstown and collect your rental car from the airport and make your way to your luxury Queenstown accommodation, Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel.

Experience the magic of Queenstown Park Boutique Hotel, stay 4 nights in one their most luxurious and spacious guest rooms, Remarkables Junior Suite. Be surrounded by tasteful contemporary décor complemented by a cosy gas fire. Day 4 Queenstown – The Day After! Queenstown Elopement Packages

Unwind you did it! Enjoy a stunning day trip to Milford Sound!

Milford Sound is an area of extraordinary beauty. It offers a majestic fiord, dramatic and awe inspiring scenery and prolific flora and fauna. Each tour begins with a complimentary pick-up from your accommodation. The pilot will then give a briefing on the route and scenic highlights likely to be encountered. These include the famous Skippers Canyon, the Paradise region (made popular as film locations for Lord of the Rings/Hobbit Trilogies), and the Donne glacier among many other awe-inspiring features. The 35 minute flight concludes with an over flight of the fiord of Milford Sound, prior to landing.

The second half of the adventure begins in Milford Sound, where your pilot personally escorts you to the boat to enjoy your Milford Sound Nature Cruise. Numbers aboard are capped and on this intimate experience, Nature Guides offer a personal commentary. The “Spirit of Milford” catamaran explores nooks and crannies along the edge of the fiord, nudging into sheer rock faces to examine flora and fauna in detail.

Following your Milford Sound cruise, your return flight takes in many of the pristine alpine lakes and waterfalls that Fiordland National Park is recognised for, including the Sutherland Falls which span 580m (1900 ft).

In the evening, enjoy a night in Arrowtown if you wish. This quaint township has an array of restaurants that are a must to try! Make a dinner reservation at Aosta for a taste of Italy, or perhaps La Rumbla might be more up your alley if you are looking for tapas and cocktails, be sure to have a drink in The Blue Door to finish off your night.

Day 5 Lake Pukaki

Queenstown to Lake Pukaki – 2.5 Hours

Travel through the dramatic Lindis Pass, which links Central Otago with the Mackenzie Basin. Just past the town of Twizel, you have the option to make a detour to Mount Cook Village (45 minutes each way) to see the stunning Tasman Glacier and New Zealand’s highest mountain, Aoraki / Mount Cook. As you reach stunning Lake Pūkaki, your destination ‘Lakestone Lodge’ will be within sight.

Your guide will prepare a perfectly positioned hammock so you are looking directly at the wonders above and makes you snug with a warm woollen blanket. Your guide will point out all the highlights of the southern sky with a high powered laser pointer and explain some Maori legends about the sky as well as other interesting theories. Day 6 Lake Tekapo, Tekapo Hot Springs

Lake Tekapo easily justifies a full day to explore. Given the pristine scenery of the region, it comes as no surprise that there are a number of fantastic walks to discover and experience. One of these is the Cowans Hill Walkway, a 1-2 hour walk that takes you to the top of Cowans Hill. Enroute you’ll walk along a river bank, cross a bridge and enter a forest plantation up towards the summit. There, you’ll enjoy 360 degree, panoramic views of Lake Tekapo and all that’s around.

Lake Tekapo is not the only lake in the area with another being the smaller Lake Alexandrina. Like Lake Tekapo, it’s surrounded by beauty and has plenty to offer despite its size. The water is deep and reflects the landscape wonderfully, great for photos.

Day 7 Christchurch City

Lake Pukaki to Christchurch – 3.5 Hours

This far reaching road adventure takes you from the mountains to sea level. Climb through the tussocky wilds of the Mackenzie Country. Stop in Geraldine for a famous ice cream before continuing through the flat green tranquility of the Canterbury Plains on your way to Christchurch.

You will stay at The George a luxury 5-star boutique hotel in Christchurch. Experience signature service with their one-to-one guest ratio. Your package includes a cooked and continental breakfast.

Day 8 Depart Christchurch
